The role of Engineer Supervisor at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Green Bay is an exciting leadership position that requires a strong technical aptitude combined with people management skills to ensure seamless hotel operations. This hands-on role involves leading a dedicated engineering team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the property’s systems and infrastructure. As an Engineer Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs to uphold the highest standards of guest room and public space conditions. You will be the driving force behind ensuring property systems operate efficiently while monitoring costs and promoting sustainable energy use. Your responsibilities include training, inspiring, and scheduling your engineering crew, with a strong emphasis on safety through regular inspections, fire drills, and staff training.

Job Requirements

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • may be required to work weekends, holidays, and be available for emergencies
  • comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid
  • prior experience in hotel or property maintenance roles preferred
  • ability to lift heavy items and work in physically demanding environments

  • Experience in training, supervising, and motivating staff
  • ability to evaluate and spot check work of staff and contractors

Job Duties

  • Lead the charge in keeping all property systems running smoothly
  • inspire, train, and schedule the engineering crew while championing workplace safety through inspections and training
  • implement and maintain the Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms and public areas
  • manage energy usage and budgets promoting conservation and smart purchasing
  • respond promptly to guestroom requests and serve as emergency contact ensuring continuous guest and staff support
  • oversee contractors and evaluate staff work quality
  • attend and participate in daily stand-up meetings to improve service and operational efficiency
