The Dual General Manager position at this property is a critical leadership role charged with overseeing all aspects of operations at two hotels simultaneously. This role demands a highly polished, articulate individual who acts as an ambassador for both properties, maintaining a strong operational vision that aligns with company standards and brand expectations. The manager will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and supervision to their management teams and frontline associates, ensuring optimal financial performance while maintaining high-quality product and service levels. Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and corporate policies is essential, as is the continuous assessment and improvement of the physical property. The role involves leading key operational initiatives including sales planning, budget creation and monitoring, and execution of property improvement projects.

In this position, the Dual General Manager serves as the central communication hub, liaising effectively with guests, clients, associates, ownership, corporate, and brand representatives as well as key vendors. Daily leadership is hands-on, requiring this individual to maximize revenue opportunities and control expenses prudently. The role involves managing multiple full-time associates or their equivalents and requires more than 50 percent of their time to be dedicated to administrative, executive, and professional tasks that demand discretion and independent judgment. Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years experience or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code and wearing a name tag
  • Comply with company standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Ensure certification requirements are met such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales to conduct daily ABR meetings focusing on prospecting and existing account calls
  • Assist in creation and implementation of annual budget plans and monitor hotel performance
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including client meetings and hosting events
  • Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments through department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, training, and standards
  • Foster a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest service and employee motivation
  • Conduct consistent property visits and inspections with key managers
  • Oversee financial documentation submission in compliance with accounting calendar
  • Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of physical property
  • Ensure employees are efficient and courteous to guests and colleagues
  • Review financial positions and generate accurate forecasts
  • Conduct department manager performance appraisals
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
  • Ensure fair employment treatment
  • Engage with sales clients and potential customers
  • Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests
  • Maintain hotel safe security and conduct audits
  • Lead credit meetings and enforce collection policies
  • Complete required corporate training and certify others
