Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years experience or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well under stressful and high pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective problem handling including anticipating and solving workplace issues
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources
  • Effective listening, understanding and resolving of co-worker and guest concerns
  • Ability to work with financial information and basic arithmetic functions

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code and wearing a name tag
  • Comply with company standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Ensure certification requirements are met such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales to conduct daily ABR meetings focusing on prospecting and existing account calls
  • Assist in creation and implementation of annual budget plans and monitor hotel performance
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including client meetings and hosting events
  • Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments through department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, training, and standards
  • Foster a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest service and employee motivation
  • Conduct consistent property visits and inspections with key managers
  • Oversee financial documentation submission in compliance with accounting calendar
  • Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of physical property
  • Ensure employees are efficient and courteous to guests and colleagues
  • Review financial positions and generate accurate forecasts
  • Conduct department manager performance appraisals
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
  • Ensure fair employment treatment
  • Engage with sales clients and potential customers
  • Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests
  • Maintain hotel safe security and conduct audits
  • Lead credit meetings and enforce collection policies
  • Complete required corporate training and certify others
  • Ensure scheduled meetings occur on property
