Job Description

Carowinds is a premier amusement park known for delivering thrilling experiences and unforgettable memories to guests of all ages. Nestled in a vibrant community, Carowinds combines exhilarating rides, engaging entertainment, and exceptional dining options to create a destination where excitement meets family-friendly fun. The park is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment where guests can relax, enjoy, and immerse themselves in a variety of recreational activities. Carowinds values integrity, courtesy, and inclusiveness, making it a standout employer in the entertainment and hospitality industry.

The role of Bartender at Carowinds is more than just serving drinks; it is about creating an atmosphere that welcomes guests and enhances their experience throughout their visit. Offering a diverse and seasonally inspired beverage menu, this position requires individuals who take pride in exceptional customer service and who understand the power of a warm conversation and helpful suggestions. Working as a Bartender at Carowinds means being the friendly face at the bar where corporate and leisure guests can unwind after a long day of fun and excitement. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of.

Bartenders at Carowinds are responsible for mixing drinks, pouring beer and wine, and serving bar bites prepared by the cook. They must be knowledgeable about handling alcoholic beverages responsibly in compliance with North Carolina Liquor Laws, including verifying the age of customers to ensure they meet the minimum legal drinking age of 21 years. The job also involves some physical tasks such as tapping beer kegs, carrying heavy cases and ensuring the bar area remains clean, orderly, and adequately stocked at all times. Precision and attention to detail are important, especially when balancing shift reports, cash drawers, and processing credit card payments.

In addition to the technical skills, bartenders play a key role in guest engagement by answering questions about the park, the property, and local attractions. This position requires enthusiasm, an eagerness to contribute to a team, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the dynamic needs of the business. Carowinds associates, including bartenders, are not only engaged employees but also ambassadors of fun and happiness, committed to creating lasting memories for all visitors. This role offers an hourly wage of $10 and the opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to excellence in customer service and guest satisfaction.
