The position of Busperson at Boyd Gaming is integral to the smooth operation and guest satisfaction within the casino's food and beverage areas. The Busperson is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly dining environments, which includes promptly clearing tables of soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, and refuse, and wiping down table tops and seats to uphold cleanliness standards. Additionally, the role involves setting tables according to established standards to ensure readiness for incoming guests. The Busperson will be expected to greet guests seated in their assigned station in a courteous and welcoming manner, receive and fulfill beverage orders, and support service flow between kitchen staff and guests. Key responsibilities also include transporting bus tubs filled with used dishes to the kitchen dishwashing area, maintaining the cleanliness of side stations and work areas, assisting in final dish preparation, and handling customer complaints professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, physical stamina to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, and the ability to stand or walk for long periods during shifts. Prior experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory, as Boyd Gaming values a proactive attitude and strong customer service skills in candidates. Job Duties

  • Clean tables by removing soiled dishes silverware glassware and refuse and wiping tabletop and seats
  • set up tables according to established standards
  • greet guests seated in assigned station
  • receive and fulfill refill drink orders from guests
  • remove dishes from tables and place in plastic bus tub in a timely manner
  • transport filled bus tubs to kitchen dishwashing area
  • maintain cleanliness of side station and all work areas
  • ensure smooth and timely flow of orders from kitchen to guest
  • check dishes for accuracy and presentation
  • assist in final dish preparation
  • maintain fast service
  • handle customer complaints
  • uphold quality and sanitation standards
  • complete side work as needed
