Job Description
Delaware North Gaming is an established leader in the hospitality and gaming industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. One of its premier operations, Southland Casino Hotel, is located in West Memphis, Arkansas, just a short drive from downtown Memphis, Tennessee. This vibrant casino features over 2200 slot machines, live blackjack, craps, and roulette tables, alongside simulcast wagering and a sportsbook. The property also boasts a newly renovated hotel with 300 luxurious rooms and suites, offering guests a full spectrum of entertainment and accommodation options. The company is currently seeking both full-time and part-time Servers to join the dynamic team at Southland Casino. This role is pivotal in representing the restaurant and providing outstanding service to guests. Servers play a crucial part in creating memorable dining experiences, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit. The position involves a variety of responsibilities, including greeting and attending to guests, managing orders, and collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain efficient service. As a tipped position, the base hourly pay is $10.00, exclusive of any gratuities earned. Servers are expected to work flexible shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime as needed.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
- visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
- dependable and punctual
- able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime as needed
- no high school diploma or GED required
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- at least one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment
- experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Greet and attend to guests' needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders
- serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests
- collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bar staff
- perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
