Job Duties
- Washing dishes
- Scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes, glassware, and utensils into dishwashers or washing by hand
- Maintaining proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health and safety standards
- Properly storing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas
- Keeping the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter
- Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and ensuring proper disposal
- Keeping kitchen floors clean and dry, including sweeping and mopping
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables or portioning food
- Adhering to all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures
- Notifying the kitchen supervisor of any sanitation or equipment issues
- Ensuring dishwashers are functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions
- Assisting with closing duties by sanitizing cooking and food prep areas
- Unloading and storing deliveries and maintaining dry storage areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers
- Assisting with other cleaning tasks as needed
