Job Description
Kessler Hotels, a distinguished portfolio within Kessler Hospitality, is renowned for its artistically inspired boutique hotels that combine unique design, luxurious accommodations, enriching ambiance, and intuitive service. With locations spread across Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, each Kessler property uniquely celebrates the local art, music, and cultural influences. The company is recognized as the founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, initially launching seven Autograph Collection branded hotels. These hotels are designed with a bold, original style that appeals to individualist travelers seeking more than just a place to stay. They emphasize a redefined Bohemian luxury that encourages unforgettable experiences, whether guests visit a cutting-edge downtown icon, a premier luxury lodge, an entertainment destination in Savannah, or an elite ski lodge.
Kessler Hotels prioritize delivering an immersive and memorable guest experience. For example, their Grand Bohemian Lodge located in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina, offers an AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge experience perched on the falls of the iconic Reedy River. This location combines exquisite views, curated art collections, and earth-inspired design elements from chandeliers to the wine room, offering guests a close connection with nature and the local cultural environment. Guests enjoy amenities such as balconies, majestic interior accents, an outdoor bar and restaurant overlooking the river, a spa, an art gallery, a fitness center, and hiking trails throughout the grounds. This setting is ideal whether visitors seek adventure, relaxation, or a luxurious spa experience.
The Barback position at Kessler Hotels is an hourly role centered on supporting bar operations to ensure efficient service flow and a best-in-class guest experience. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and proper stock behind the bar, assisting bar staff with organizational duties, and upholding compliance with sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. The Barback is critical to the smooth functioning of the bar area and helps create a welcoming environment for guests while supporting the team to ensure operational standards are met. Key responsibilities include handling requisitions for all beverages and food items used at the bar, stocking the bar, maintaining bar equipment, and adopting a positive, professional attitude when interacting with guests. The role demands an individual capable of developing a full working knowledge of all bar products and executing opening and closing side duties proficiently. The Barback contributes significantly to guest satisfaction by responding to guest needs with patience and professionalism and ensuring the bar's cleanliness and organization.
Working as a Barback at Kessler Hotels provides a unique opportunity to be part of a respected hospitality company that values artistic expression and culturally rich guest experiences. It offers hourly compensation and requires availability for evening shifts. This position is suitable for those with some prior experience in a similar role, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, plus strong communication skills. The Barback role promotes career growth within Kessler Hospitality's inspiring hotels and lodges, fostering an environment where both guests and employees feel valued and connected to the locale's cultural tapestry.
