Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience or in the building material industry preferred
  • Experience in consultative selling to design professionals and commercial property owners
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory 1-2 weeks a month

  • Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry preferred
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Proficiency with Google Business Suite
  • Experience with SalesForce preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and persuasive
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Industry certifications such as CDT, LEED AP, RRO, RRC highly preferred

Job Duties

  • Pinpoint market opportunities with building owners, facilities managers, community associations, spec writers, architects, consultants
  • Display diplomacy and build rapport at conventions and industry events
  • Influence product selection and specification in construction documents
  • Coordinate educational programs and architectural engagement with sales teams
  • Provide technical support and expert problem-solving throughout the specification process
  • Manage timely follow-through and maintain contact from design to bidding
  • Collaborate with sales and building science teams to align strategies and track projects
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented work attitude
