Job Requirements
- Open availability including weekends preferred
- Ability to work full time
- Experience in food preparation and cooking
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Professional appearance and adherence to company uniform standards
- Compliance with all company safety and security policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Prior experience in banquet, line, or breakfast cook preferred
- Strong attention to detail and food safety knowledge
- Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills to interact with team and management
- Capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and handle physical tasks
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in refrigerator
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or judgment
- Prepare and cook food following recipes, quality and presentation standards
- Monitor food quality and test foods for doneness
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish
- Serve food onto appropriate receptacles and use kitchen tools safely
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, and equipment
- Check temperature of appliances and food, notify manager if product is substandard
- Communicate during busy periods and support team goals
