Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in bakery or food service
- Capability to lift, twist, move, and carry a maximum of 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain active signage and pricing in department areas
- Ability to handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers accurately
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use store phone and intercom systems properly
- Ability to perform regular temperature checks of cases and coolers four times daily
Job Qualifications
- Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience operating bakery equipment such as ovens, convection ovens, mixers, fryers, bread slicers, stoves, wrappers, scales, and cleaning materials
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers politely
- Accurately record customers' cake and bakery item orders
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using electronic cash registers, scanners, and scales
- Follow the perishable department Communication Board guidelines including Sampling Program and intercom announcements
- Ice and decorate cakes and pastries according to customer and company specifications
- Record out-of-stock conditions and report them to the department manager
- Fill and stock bakery display cases and store counters with donuts, cookies, cakes, and other items
