Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, finance or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in recruitment, human resources or a related field
  • experience with recruitment software and applicant tracking systems
  • knowledge of aviation industry and pilot recruitment processes
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • experience utilizing Excel features such as v-lookups, pivot tables, power maps
  • experience with Power BI or Tableau
  • knowledge of PRIA

Job Duties

  • Monitor the health and progress of the pilot candidate pipeline
  • partner with the Flight Training team to align on class capacity and scheduling needs
  • manage a high volume of email and phone communications to ensure all pilot candidates are contacted prior to their class date
  • collect feedback and data from recruiters, management, and internal/external stakeholders
  • collaborate across departments to effectively communicate the Aviation Careers recruitment story
  • use data insights to identify and recommend process improvements that enhance consistency and efficiency
  • support strategic department goals related to both immediate and long-term staffing needs
  • review and manage sensitive new hire information for accurate distribution to relevant departments
  • coordinate with multiple teams to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding experience for all candidates
  • leverage technology to streamline recruitment operations and maintain American Airlines' competitive position in the industry
  • represent American Airlines at recruitment events and company-sponsored functions
