The opportunity at hand is for a Specialist in North American Operations, a full-time role based in Richmond, Virginia. This vital position is responsible for overseeing the service levels associated with all EFW shipments. It involves maintaining accurate and timely shipment status updates, ensuring that communications are clear and that customer service standards are met consistently. The Specialist will perform a series of operational and clerical tasks including tracking and tracing shipments, processing customer information to support transportation, billing, and collections, monitoring service provider updates through various communication channels, and assisting supervisors and coordinators with operational necessities.
In this role, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential to anticipate and manage any issues that could jeopardize shipments. The Specialist must also help confirm service provider charges and maintain data integrity related to customers, markets, and procedures. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company core values are highly prioritized.
Applicants should expect to work in a normal office environment, primarily sitting with occasional standing and walking. No travel or special licenses are required. Job Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- 1-3 years of experience in the transportation or freight forwarding industry preferred
- Combination of experience and or education will be taken into consideration
- No licenses or certifications required
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Regular attendance is required
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure

Job Duties
- Track, trace, and monitor Estes Forwarding shipments and update the status with complete notes
- Perform clerical processes related to the Estes Forwarding business
- Process routine customer information in support of transportation, billing, and or collection efforts
- Monitor the Web, fax, and voice mail for service provider updates
- Maintain data for specific customers, markets, products, and or processes as required
- Assist and support coordinators, supervisors, and managers with various business needs
- Communicate to Estes Forwarding Coordinator or Supervisor any issues or problems that may put a shipment in jeopardy of failure
- Confirm charges from service providers as needed
- Maintain familiarity with conditions that need special and accessorial charges and ensure that all costs and charges are complete and accurate
- Perform miscellaneous job functions to assist with operations, sales efforts, contracts, and billing
- Support and promote company core values
- Regular attendance is required

- Perform other duties as assigned
