The Specialist, Direct Digital Marketing (DDM) role at Universal Orlando Resort is pivotal in shaping and executing omni-channel customer relationship management (CRM) strategies that effectively boost annual revenue and attendance. This position involves working closely with both internal departments and external partners to deploy direct marketing campaigns across multiple platforms including email, direct mail, mobile push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, and paid social media channels. The emphasis is on delivering a seamless and engaging customer journey that drives retention, win-back, cross-sell, and up-sell initiatives tailored to various segments of the resort’s audience.
In this dynamic role, the Specialist will manage the end-to-end execution of marketing programs, ensuring all campaigns are well-coordinated, prioritized, and aligned with Universal Orlando’s strategic objectives. They will play an integral role in the creative development process by developing project briefs, overseeing content creation, and ensuring all stakeholder feedback and approvals are incorporated. Measurement and analysis of campaign performance are crucial, with a focus on utilizing key success metrics to suggest continual optimization and enhancements for future marketing efforts.

Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated professional experience in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred
- 2+ years marketing experience in travel and hospitality preferred
- understanding of direct marketing best practices and response optimization techniques
- proficiency in microsoft applications
- experience in data-driven marketing strategy management

Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional experience in a related field preferred e.g. business, marketing, communications
- 2+ years marketing experience in travel and hospitality preferred
- understanding of direct marketing best practices and response optimization techniques
- extensive computer knowledge and proficiency in microsoft applications
- experience overseeing data-driven marketing strategies from concept to completion including audience targeting, campaign development, tactical deployment and performance reporting
- experience managing marketing programs across direct channels including email, direct mail, push, in-app, SMS and paid social
- experience working with cross-functional teams, agencies and other partners
- excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- proven ability to lead day-to-day relationships and collaborate in a matrixed organization

Job Duties
- implement and oversee the execution of email, direct mail, push, in-app, SMS and paid social campaigns to deliver against business goals
- work with external and internal partners to implement customer lifecycle, retention, win-back, cross-sell and up-sell programs
- ensure proper processes, scheduling, prioritization and communications are in place for all programs
- oversee the creative development process including development of project briefs, coordination of creative development and securing stakeholder feedback and approval
- utilize key success metrics and result analysis to provide strategic recommendations for campaign enhancements and optimization
- participate in campaign performance reviews and share insights for future campaigns
- aid the development of growth initiatives, new capabilities, tools and continuous improvement
- understand and actively participate in environmental, health and safety responsibilities by following established policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
