Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food science, food engineering, or related field
- Minimum five years of experience in baking process technologies, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Strong skills in statistical and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel domestically 80-90% with occasional weekend work
- Capable of thorough data analysis, process observation, and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science, food engineering, or a related field
- Five years of experience in baking process technology evaluation and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in root cause and statistical analysis for continuous improvement
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to present detailed data analysis reports to management
- Experience in managing product commercialization and scale-up
- Competency in coaching and training associates
Job Duties
- Support baking technical needs for Bimbo Bakeries USA and Co-Pack breads, buns, and breakfast products
- Lead development and product implementation functions for BBU and Co operations
- Provide leadership support including safety programs
- Perform technical and statistical analysis to improve processes and sustainability
- Troubleshoot bakery issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Coordinate product launch and scale-up efforts with operations teams
- Monitor product quality post-launch and modify formulas or processes as needed
- Support quality issues, waste reduction, and consumer complaint resolution
- Participate in process and equipment modifications with engineering and operations
- Train bakery associates on ingredient functionality, equipment, and baking processes
- Complete and update product code books
- Conduct formula audits and ensure corrective actions
- Collaborate with R&D on formula modifications
- Lead productivity initiatives with finance, procurement, engineering, and operations
- Document and communicate weekly trip results and follow-ups
- Travel domestically approximately 80-90% and occasionally work weekends
- Handle other assignments as needed
