Job Description

Sysco Corporation stands as one of the most recognized and respected leaders in the foodservice industry across North America. As a global food distributor, Sysco is dedicated to delivering fresh and quality products to a wide range of customers including restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, and hospitality businesses. The company’s expansive network serves more than 600,000 customers daily with a commitment to service excellence and integrity. With a rich history and reputation for innovation in foodservice distribution, Sysco provides its team members a collaborative and dynamic work environment that fosters growth, learning, and personal development. Employees are valued for their commitment to customer service and their ability to contribute to the company’s ongoing success and leadership in the marketplace.

Sysco is currently seeking dependable Class C Special Delivery Truck Drivers to join their team. This role is integral in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of a variety of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and other supplies to customer locations on scheduled routes. The position primarily involves driving, manual unloading, and delivery tasks while maintaining positive relationships with customers by understanding their operational needs and expectations. While this opportunity does not require a Class A or B commercial driver's license, candidates holding these may be required on an as-needed basis to operate a tractor-trailer. As such, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) driver qualification requirements is mandatory.

This full-time role offers excellent pay, comprehensive benefits including healthcare and retirement plans, paid vacation and holidays, ongoing training, career growth opportunities, and employee discounts including on Sysco stock. Drivers will typically handle daily routes, allowing for a predictable schedule. The job demands the physical ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40 to 60 pounds on average, with occasional items up to 100 pounds. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, pass a pre-employment drug screening, and have the ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently for safe driving and communication. The company also provides uniforms and emphasizes safety and quality in every aspect of its delivery services. Join Sysco and become part of a team passionate about foodservice and customer satisfaction, contributing to the company’s position as the industry leader while advancing your own career development.
