Job Description
Sysco is a leading global distributor of food products, supplies, and related services to the foodservice industry. With a legacy spanning several decades, Sysco has established itself as an industry leader through a deep commitment to quality, customer service, and innovation. The company serves a diverse range of customers including restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments, and other foodservice operations. Sysco’s comprehensive product offerings include fresh meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and various supplies essential for the smooth functioning of foodservice businesses. This reliable supply chain and broad product portfolio have made Sysco a trusted partner to its customers, helping them meet operational goals and deliver excellent dining experiences.
Sysco is currently seeking dependable Class C Special Delivery Truck Drivers to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery of high-quality food products to customer locations on assigned route schedules. The position involves operating a delivery truck and manually unloading and delivering various products such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies. Drivers in this role are crucial frontline representatives of Sysco, building long-term relationships with customers by understanding their unique needs and expectations. A positive and friendly attitude is key, as drivers often interact directly with customers and contribute to Sysco's reputation for outstanding service.
The Class C Special Delivery Truck Driver position does not require a Class A or B commercial driver’s license; however, individuals who possess a Class A or B license may be called upon as needed to operate a tractor-trailer, in which case they must adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) driver qualification requirements. The role requires physical stamina since drivers occasionally need to lift, push, or move products weighing between 40 to 60 pounds, with some loads reaching up to 100 pounds. Sysco emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, making this job ideal for those who enjoy a blend of independence, routine, and customer engagement in a fast-paced environment.
Employees in this role benefit from competitive pay, comprehensive healthcare, generous retirement plans, paid vacation, and holiday time. Sysco supports ongoing training and career growth opportunities, enabling drivers to advance within the company. Additional benefits include employee discount programs, access to Sysco stock discounts, uniforms, and a positive work culture that values dedication and teamwork. If you are ready to drive success and be part of a renowned company in the foodservice distribution industry, Sysco invites you to apply today and embark on a rewarding career.
