The role of Clean Agent Fire Suppression Technician at Impact Fire Services is an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals aiming to grow their career in fire and life safety. Located in the Williston, Vermont district office, this full-time position offers competitive compensation, including a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 based on experience and relocation assistance. As a Clean Agent Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of clean agent fire suppression systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires working with a variety of clean agent systems such as CO2, chemical agents like FM-200 and Novec, and inert agents including Inergen and ProInert2. Familiarity with addressable releasing panels, VESDA, and major brand systems like Fike, Kidde, and Ansul is essential.
You will perform daily service tasks with a focus on safety and productivity while maintaining meticulous administrative documentation including service acknowledgments and NFPA records. Job Requirements
- Minimum three to five years related experience in the fire protection industry
- Possess any necessary licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
- Willingness to travel out of town including overnight lodging
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Job Qualifications
- Possess any necessary licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes
- Minimum three to five years related experience in the fire protection industry
- NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions
- Working knowledge of NFPA 12, 72, 2001
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics, and operational/product manuals
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 100 lbs
- Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel and Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 20 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
- Willingness to travel out of town including overnight lodging
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance

- Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes

Job Duties
- Inspect, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of clean agent systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Read clean agent data sheets, system manuals, blueprints as required
- Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries and damage to property
- Meet daily and weekly service and productivity goals
- Perform administrative duties including completing service acknowledgements, NFPA Record of completion documents, and other supporting documentation
