Job Requirements
- Part-time hourly position earning $18.00 per hour
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule primarily during evenings and weekends with occasional holiday hours
- On-call availability for emergencies required
- Must provide minimum availability of 3 shifts per month
- Must be available for all mandatory annual events like Terrace at Twilight and Spectrum
- Must submit application, TN ABC license, and resume through the museum’s careers site by April 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST
Job Qualifications
- Must have a valid ABC license and driver’s license
- Bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of bartending tools, batching, and craft/custom cocktail creation
- General housekeeping and grounds keeping skills
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Ability to stand for 3-5 hours and lift and transport objects up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Assist with set up and break down of equipment used during special events as needed
- Serve as a special events bartender for private and public events
- Properly pull bar product for private and Museum events and record accurate amounts taken and returned
- Use customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction
- Interact with and assist guests during private or Museum internal events
- Clean and place recycling materials in proper containers and take trash to dumpster after events
- Ensure safe working conditions and procedures for staff, guests, and vendors
- Work closely with caterers, vendors, and special event staff to ensure quality and adherence to Museum guidelines
- Solve problems that arise during events at the Museum
- Share information with clients to ensure an educational and enjoyable experience
- Maintain sanitary conditions of facilities during and after special events
- Work with various departments to assist with both internal and external events
