HOB Entertainment, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, operates exceptional club venues across the nation called House of Blues. These venues feature diverse live music genres such as Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. The Special Events Server role at House of Blues Las Vegas is designed for passionate and motivated individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit. This role requires innovation, resourcefulness, forward-thinking, and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Special Events Server, you will serve food and beverage items knowledgeably and warmly to all guests. You will greet guests, answer inquiries regarding menus, wine lists, and music events, and anticipate their needs effectively. Responsibilities include handling guest concerns or complaints with professionalism, organizing service sequences, ensuring accurate order delivery, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and facilitating payment transactions. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain awareness of ongoing music and special events and support other servers as needed. The position requires occasional work during special events scheduled throughout the venue. Job Requirements
- High School diploma
- 2-5 years high volume restaurant experience
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of safe, responsible alcohol service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud, and stressful environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper techniques
Job Qualifications
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
- 2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operations
- Working knowledge of high volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service
- Standard food preparation/presentation
- Skill in guest relations
- Wine & liquor knowledge
- Ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude
- Read guests in order to anticipate their needs
- High School Diploma
Job Duties
- Greet all guests at table
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding menu, wine list, Music Hall
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs
- Respond to guest concerns/complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitude
- Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence
- Check food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been met
- Deliver food and beverages to table
- Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
- Pre-bus tables: remove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finished
- Clean spills on tables or around work area
- Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
- Receive payment and process cash, credit card or traveler’s check transactions
- Have knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the house
- Assist other servers or other employees as needed
- Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
