Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Any experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the work
  • A valid, lawful driver license may be required
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible hours including Monday through Saturday
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations including confrontational or uncomfortable interactions with the public

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Any experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the work
  • Event-planning experience preferred
  • Social media and marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Job Duties

  • Organize, schedule, implement, and evaluate assigned recreational special events
  • Develop registration forms, policies, and practices in collaboration with operations staff
  • Establish and maintain schedules
  • Identify and report performance issues to supervisor
  • Provide informational feedback on event participation level and effectiveness
  • Solicit information from program participants
  • Post event notices and updates across platforms
  • Create digital, print, and graphic materials aligned with brand guidelines
  • Manage and schedule social media content
  • Supervise volunteers as needed
  • Assist other staff members and the public as needed and perform other related duties as required
