- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- valid California driver's license
- state of California paramedic license
- CPR card (American Heart Association only, Health Care Provider, no handwritten cards)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
- IS-100B (ICS 100) course
- IS-200B (ICS 200) course
- IS-700A (NIMS) course
- IS-800B (NIMS) course
- ability to pass physical agility test
- good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition
- ability to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and objects

Job Duties
- deliver high quality patient care and customer service within prescribed protocols and company policies
- complete all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy
- report all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the lead paramedic or supervisor
- maintain a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniform standards
- pass the physical agility test and meet physical stamina requirements
- lift, drag, hoist and carry different types of equipment and objects
- perform other duties as defined
