Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- at least three years related experience
- pre-employment physical and drug screening
- valid Texas Class C driver’s license with an insurable record
- ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and at various locations
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent attendance and commitment to professional growth
Job Qualifications

- experience planning and managing community events
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- excellent communication and public relations skills
- proficiency in budget management and operations coordination
- ability to use various office and event equipment effectively
- valid Texas Class C driver’s license
Job Duties
- Supervise the Outdoor Programs Coordinator and assist with hiring part-time staff, special interest instructors, and volunteers
- plan, coordinate, and execute events from initial planning to post-event analysis including logistics, budget, and vendor management
- maintain supplies, records, reports, budgets, and schedules for farmers market and special events at various program sites
- manage registration, coordination, and promotion for classes, special events, farmers market, seasonal programs, and other activities
- respond to public inquiries about recreation, special events, City programs, farmers market, and seasonal programs through telephone, correspondence, public appearances, and social media
- market and promote programs and services through printed materials, press releases, public speaking, and social media
- facilitate partnerships to enhance sponsorship opportunities
