Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in recreation, public relations, or closely related field
- two years of successful professional work experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- valid state driver's license without impending loss at time of appointment

Job Duties
- Schedules, organizes, facilitates, coordinates, and evaluates participants, vendors, contractors, volunteers, and other related participation in a variety of special events, recruits new sponsors and vendors as necessary
- works closely with other Parks staff in planning and oversight of special programs, program development, administrative support, day-of-event duties, and supervision of volunteers, facilities, and/or programs
- coordinates, organizes, and tracks different event budgets, vendor payments, contractors, supplies, volunteers, and non-benefitted staff related to events
- provides administrative and technical support to the Events, Projects, and Marketing Manager for marketing publications, grant applications, and other special programs as assigned
- works courteously and effectively with public officials, citizens, contractors, vendors, developers, supervisors, and other employees in person and over the telephone, assisting with information pertaining to City and department operations
