Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- minimum five years of progressively responsible clerical or secretarial experience or equivalent
- valid California driver’s license with insurance
- proficiency in office software and event management technology
- ability to interpret and apply university policies
- strong organizational skills
- effective communication skills
- ability to manage budgets and analyze data
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
- dependable transportation for off-campus events
- compliance with university background check policies
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- five years of progressively responsible office clerical or secretarial experience or equivalent
- valid California driver’s license with required insurance
- comprehensive knowledge of university policies and procedures
- expertise in office software and event management systems
- ability to handle multiple priorities independently
- strong written and oral communication skills
- experience with volunteer coordination and event design preferred
- ability to work beyond standard hours including weekends
- professional and diplomatic demeanor
- ability to drive electric cart and private automobile when necessary
Job Duties
- coordinate and implement events including invitation development and mailing
- track event responses and prepare vendor payments
- research and manage vendors and event materials
- maintain event budgets and process financial transactions
- assist with event setup, registration, and guest services
- interact professionally with high-level donors and guests
- maintain and update event data within Raiser's Edge and 25 Live systems
- coordinate and lead event volunteers
- design event communications and signage
- support commencement logistics and assist with department operations
- manage event reservation system and collaborate with campus partners
- process purchase orders and travel reimbursements
- troubleshoot office and event-related issues
- attend pre-event and post-event meetings
