The Special Events Coordinator role focuses on assisting in the coordination and smooth operation of all Special Events and Leisure Experiences such as ICE!, Best of Florida Christmas, SummerFest, and other guest-centric activities hosted at the resort. This role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless execution of event operations by monitoring lighting, audiovisual elements, cleanliness standards, and system functionality to ensure any aesthetic or operational deficiencies are promptly addressed. The Coordinator works closely with the Special Events Manager and Assistant Managers, supporting training initiatives and overseeing employee performance to uphold excellence in event delivery. Competency in operating event-related software including ticketing, retail, inventory, and space management systems is essential to resolve discrepancies and contribute to the financial and operational integrity of events.
Beyond event logistics, the Special Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in embodying the Gaylord brand by providing exemplary guest service. This includes greeting guests warmly, anticipating and responding to their needs, and maintaining professionalism in communication both with guests and team members. The position demands adherence to company policies, including safety regulations, uniform standards, and confidentiality protocols, emphasizing the protection of company assets and fostering a safe and respectful workplace. The physical requirements involve extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, and the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently. This hands-on role also encourages proactive contributions toward improving organizational efficiency, whether through new ideas, technologies, or process enhancements.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist in coordinating special events and leisure experiences
