Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years relevant experience in a law enforcement setting
  • Minimum two-year special event planning or related work experience
  • Valid and unrestricted U.S. driver’s license
  • Must meet Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver

Job Qualifications

  • Five years relevant experience in law enforcement setting
  • Minimum of two years special event planning or related experience
  • Valid and unrestricted U.S. driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and inventory controls
  • Ability to learn and operate specialized management software
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate deployment of law enforcement resources for special events including university-sponsored events
  • Review and evaluate special event deployment plans focusing on traffic control, crowd management, and security needs
  • Liaison with police department units, university departments, and external agencies to staff events appropriately
  • Manage billing and accounts related to special event coordination
  • Oversee Quartermaster duties including issuing equipment and supplies to police personnel
  • Identify and evaluate police-specific equipment and make purchasing decisions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for departmental equipment and supplies
