Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, business administration, public relations, communications, or related field
  • experience with event coordination and marketing
  • proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Office
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to oversee and assist on-site event operations
  • creativity and initiative in marketing campaign development

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university with major coursework in event management, facility management, sports management, hospitality management, business administration, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field required
  • knowledge and interest in marketing and advertising functions
  • intermediate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • strong analytical, problem solving, and written communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
  • excellent people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the general public, staff, and co-workers in a positive, professional manner
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Suites
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays

Job Duties

  • develop and maintain relationships with promoters, event producers, sub-contractors, tenants and clients including creating and executing applicable letter of agreements
  • assist in day-of-event operations associated with events
  • responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the logistics of assigned events
  • act as liaison for building with all parties and departments involved in the event
  • provide support to in-house events in accordance with venue policies and procedures
  • oversee event logistics, settlements, managing event budget and post event financial summary
  • serve as a facility representative at assigned events by enforcing facility policies and procedures
  • assist day-to-day promotions and in-house event activities
  • assist in preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and participate in monthly conference calls
  • assist the venue with day-to-day digital and print marketing program including social media platforms, website, advertising, radio, television, and local media opportunities
  • assist with public relations including managing press releases and coordinating media requests and interviews
  • assist with grassroots efforts including poster and flyer distribution, community appearances and overall expansion of marketing campaigns
  • generate new and creative ideas to attract new events and promote booked events
  • assist with database and email campaigns
  • develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales
  • explore non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events
  • perform graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere
  • facilitate effective communication and working relationships across departments and with external partners such as media, clients, promoters, municipal officials, and entertainment agencies
  • perform other duties as assigned
