The Seasonal Stage Manager for Summer Nights role is integral to the success of the park’s summer entertainment offerings, with a pay rate of $17 per hour. This position takes on the responsibility of overseeing the daily operations of Summer Event Products and managing talent and technical crews to ensure the seamless execution of shows and special events. As a manager, you'll mentor staff to foster teamwork and maintain high production standards, provide logistical support for rehearsals and daily functions, and ensure safety protocols are rigorously followed. Key duties include scheduling cast and crew, handling documentation such as SOPs and performance tracking, monitoring show quality, and coordinating with various departments to maintain artistic and technical integrity.

The role also involves overseeing costume and dresser staff, managing inventory and procurement of supplies, and acting as a liaison between frontline teams and upper management. You'll have the chance to participate in or lead rehearsals, assist with events both inside and outside of the park, and cover shifts for other supervisors or technicians as needed. This role demands excellent leadership abilities, organizational skills, and a passion for entertainment production. Working in this position provides valuable experience in live event management and stage operations within a renowned amusement park setting.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • availability to work seasonal summer hours

  • willingness to work flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise and implement daily summer event operations
  • manage talent and crew for summer entertainment offerings

  • develop, update, and follow SOPs, attendance, performance tracking, and other documentation
  • ensure safety of team members and proper use of PPE
  • supervise events cast, technicians, costume/dresser staff, daily hours reporting, ambassador coaching, overtime requests, technical systems, theater safety, facility maintenance, and cleanliness
  • monitor show quality and participate in or run rehearsals and daily meetings
  • develop and maintain quality standards
  • maintain artistic and technical integrity of shows
  • act as front-line management representative and liaison with production and management staff
  • coordinate special events and shows in other venues as needed
  • assist with entertainment activities and special events outside the park
  • submit daily/weekly reports to managers
  • cover for other supervisors, technicians, or departments as needed
  • work professionally in a team environment and interact with guests and ambassadors
  • perform other assigned duties
