Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and Baker Tilly US, LLP operate through an alternative practice structure in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Code of Professional Conduct and other relevant laws and professional standards. Baker Tilly US, LLP is a licensed independent CPA firm responsible for delivering attest services to clients, while Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and its subsidiaries offer tax and business advisory services. It is important to note that Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and its subsidiaries are not licensed CPA firms.

Baker Tilly is affiliated with Baker Tilly International, a vast global network of independent accounting and business advisory firms spanning 141 territories worldwide with over 43,000 professionals and a combined worldwide revenue of 5.2 billion dollars. They maintain an active presence on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, providing clients and potential employees with valuable insights and updates. Known for its commitment to diversity and equal opportunity employment, Baker Tilly ensures that all candidates receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected status under applicable laws.

The role available is situated within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where professionals are encouraged to take on versatile roles and responsibilities. The work location status can be discussed directly with the Baker Tilly talent acquisition team to align with the candidate's preferences and company requirements.

The position offers a competitive salary range from $86,660 to $164,300, which varies according to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location, presenting an attractive opportunity for individuals with a background or interest in government organizations, public administration, or related fields.

The role primarily involves serving on client projects and assisting with managing client relationships to ensure service excellence and tailored advisory support. Key responsibilities include documenting and analyzing processes, internal controls, and workflows to identify areas for operational improvement. The professional will conduct research on best practices, operational policies, and organizational design, using these insights to recommend effective solutions to clients. Interviewing clients to gain a deeper understanding of their processes is essential for crafting meaningful recommendations. Support to project managers in daily service delivery ensures smooth execution of client engagements.

Further duties include researching current industry trends and preparing insightful whitepapers that help position Baker Tilly as a thought leader in the market. The role also involves preparing presentations, articles, sales proposals, and other content aimed at facilitating new business development and reinforcing existing client relationships. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital as the professional must effectively support the presentation of conclusions and recommendations using clear visuals and well-crafted written content. Staying current with firm administrative requirements ensures compliance and smooth operations within the organization.

This role is ideal for candidates possessing a bachelor's degree, with advanced degrees such as a Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) being highly desirable. Applicants should have between five and ten years of prior experience in government organizations such as state government, municipalities, utilities, or K-12 schools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, alongside strong writing skills and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Commitment to continuous learning, ethical knowledge, and an urgency for quality and timely completion of duties are key traits sought by the firm.
