Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year experience in airline catering, food production, or quality control
- ability to work in chilled production conditions and stand for extended periods
- strong attention to detail
- effective communication skills
- basic computer literacy
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
- ability to observe and inspect fast-paced meal assembly lines
- teamwork and coordination skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in airline catering, food production, or quality control preferred
- familiarity with airline meal specs, Visual Production Guides, or menu build documents is a plus
- strong attention to visual detail and ability to identify inconsistencies quickly
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and remain organized in a high-paced production environment
- basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- willingness to work in chilled production areas and flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays
Job Duties
- Review daily airline meal specifications, plating diagrams, and packaging instructions using the Visual Production Guide and airline-provided documents
- conduct on-floor visual inspections of assembled meal trays, casseroles, equipment setups, and other flight components to ensure they match customer specs
- use visual tools and spec sheets to validate product consistency, portion size, layout, labeling, and packing accuracy
- document findings and flag any discrepancies to production leads and QA team in real time
- communicate with production supervisors to address and resolve non-compliance issues immediately
- maintain updated records of spec compliance checks, deviations, and corrective actions taken
- assist in updating and organizing Visual Production Guides as customer menus change
- support quality assurance during internal audits, airline audits, and regulatory inspections
- partner with menu planning, inventory, and culinary teams to clarify presentation requirements and support first-tray setups for new menu cycles
