Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year relative receptionist, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
Knowledge of fitness, aquatics, salon, and spa standards is a plus
Computer literate
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memorandums
Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors
Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude
Must be self-motivated
Must follow direction and work independently with little supervision
Must demonstrate initiative
Ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
Good time management, organization, and follow-up skills
Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
Ability to pay attention to multiple details
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

Greet and welcome members and guests in an energetic and friendly fashion according to BlueStar protocol via phone or onsite
Respond to requests and direct calls to staff members and relay messages
Schedule reservations for personal training sessions or fitness programs
Maintain daily standard operating procedures for opening and closing of the Spa & Fitness Center, including facility inspections
Monitor Club and fitness rules to ensure enforcement
Be aware of daily calendar for Club and fitness activities and respond to questions
Enter member profiles and conduct member orientation for equipment use
Sell retail and fitness passes
Handle cash and card transactions, ensure accuracy of charges and return correct change
Report maintenance and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance staff
Become knowledgeable about facility services and programs to encourage member participation in spa, salon, fitness services, and dining
Fold guest towels as needed
Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities as required
