Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in luxury hotel spa management preferred
  • Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of spa treatment modalities and wellness programs
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management
  • Skilled in staff training and development
  • Ability to handle emergency response procedures effectively

Job Duties

  • Manage and oversee the Spa, Fitness and Pool Departments and all they entail
  • Work with and supervise professional personnel such as Ayurvedic doctors, Herbalists, Medical Practitioners
  • Maintain operating criteria/spa concepts and be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all Spa & fitness related services in relation to consistency with policies, philosophy and objectives for the Spa
  • Convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale
  • Develop and enhance programs and policies to ensure employers of choice and retention of high performers and high potential managers
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the Spa, pool and fitness as well as coordinating special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering
  • Understand and implement emergency response procedures and respond properly in any hotel/spa, pool & fitness emergency to assure staff and guest safety
  • Predict trends and implement for the good of the business
  • Liaise with the Public Relations Department to promote the Spa, pool & fitness and all relevant treatments/philosophies
  • Develop programs, marketing initiatives and promotions to increase revenue opportunities and guest experience
  • Create Wellness and Fitness experiences aligned with guest interests and abilities
  • Establish beneficial partnerships with product, equipment, and supply vendors
  • Schedule staff and complete payroll records and reports
  • Administer goods, requisitions, inventories, storage, and cost-effective usage of materials
  • Issue recommendations regarding operating and capital investment budgets and periodic financial evaluations
  • Promote growth through increasing revenue and operational efficiency while maintaining spa morale
