The role of Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef at Tumble 22 is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing all Back of House operations. This includes managing the preparation, purchasing, receiving, and presentation of all food products to ensure they meet established recipes and company standards. As the Kitchen Manager, you will play an integral part in maintaining the kitchen’s efficiency and quality during busy shifts while supporting and mentoring your team. You will be expected to manage staff schedules, assess performance, and uphold strict sanitation and safety standards. Job Duties
- help in the preparation of all food
- produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise
- ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- fill in the General Manager in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule, and assess staff’s performance
- order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
