Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in food preparation or related field
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety standards
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications if required

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in the same or similar position preferred
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
  • Other physical demands include grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and administer all food preparation, presentation, and service procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Monitor quantity of prepared food
  • Ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
  • Oversee food preparation to ensure proper consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
  • Monitor employee performance, provide instruction as needed, and monitor staffing levels
  • Facilitate food preparation alongside kitchen staff
  • Monitor kitchen and storage cleanliness and safety
  • Delegate work assignments to kitchen staff
  • Requisition stock according to business needs
  • Administer disciplinary action as required
