Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in kitchen supervision
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including bending and kneeling
- Eligibility to obtain required certifications
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in a similar supervisory kitchen position preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
- Physical capability for grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications
Job Duties
- Coordinate food preparation and presentation with kitchen staff as directed by Executive Chef
- Monitor quantity and quality of prepared food
- Ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
- Oversee food preparation for consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
- Monitor staffing levels, early out requests, and overtime
- Ensure kitchen and storage areas are clean and meet health and safety standards
- Delegate work assignments and monitor employee performance
- Provide instruction and administer disciplinary action
- Requisition stock according to business needs
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free kitchen environment
