Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in kitchen supervision
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including bending and kneeling
  • Eligibility to obtain required certifications

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a similar supervisory kitchen position preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
  • Physical capability for grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate food preparation and presentation with kitchen staff as directed by Executive Chef
  • Monitor quantity and quality of prepared food
  • Ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
  • Oversee food preparation for consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
  • Monitor staffing levels, early out requests, and overtime
  • Ensure kitchen and storage areas are clean and meet health and safety standards
  • Delegate work assignments and monitor employee performance
  • Provide instruction and administer disciplinary action
  • Requisition stock according to business needs
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free kitchen environment
