Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Six months to one year related experience or training
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks meals for residents under the direction of Food Service Director
- Provides high-quality dining service considering resident preferences and dietary requirements
- Assists Food Service Director in kitchen management
- Maintains professional appearance and conduct while on duty
- Promotes safe and sanitary work environment
- Contributes to improving community relations and resident engagement
- Maintains confidentiality regarding resident and employee information
- Reports incidents and safety hazards timely
- Helps supervise and assist staff in food preparation and menu production
- Conducts quality assurance testing for menu items
- Supervises safe food handling and storage procedures
- Monitors food labeling and proper storage
- Cooks food in quantities according to menu and residents served
- Assists in menu planning and recipe maintenance
- Helps manage staffing goals
- Orders supplies and maintains records
- Helps maintain kitchen equipment and reports malfunctions
- Assists in controlling food, labor, and supply costs
- Controls overproduction, waste, and theft
- Maintains accurate daily production records
