Step into the culinary world of the Tampa Convention Center, one of Tampa’s premier event destinations, as a Sous Chef with Aramark. This role places you at the heart of exceptional dining experiences for a wide variety of large-scale gatherings such as conferences, galas, trade shows, and other important events where precision, creativity, and collaboration are vital. Working closely alongside the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, you will actively help drive kitchen operations and ensure the flawless daily execution of food service. This includes managing food preparation, supporting banquet services, and maintaining high culinary standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- Ability to manage and train kitchen personnel
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- Requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- Culinary degree preferred
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
- Requires oral, reading and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
