The role of the Sous Chef at Sunda Tampa is a critical leadership position within the culinary team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef serves as the second-in-command in the kitchen, carrying significant responsibility for the planning and execution of food preparation. This includes supervising kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency are met during service. The Sous Chef must be proactive in identifying and resolving any kitchen issues quickly and effectively, maintaining smooth operations even in high-pressure environments. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years culinary experience in a professional kitchen
- prior supervisory experience
- knowledge of food safety standards
- physical stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- previous experience as a sous chef or similar role
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisine preferred
- excellent organizational and communication abilities
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- creative culinary skills and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Plan and direct food preparation in the kitchen
