Job Description

The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join the culinary operations of the university's dining services. This role, reporting to the Executive Chef, involves assisting in menu development, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, diverse meals for students, faculty, and staff.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler's Card or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
  • 3 years of Cook or Sous Chef experience preferred
  • ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • knowledge of food production equipment usage
  • valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • proficient in English
