Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen leadership role
  • Understanding of employment, food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service laws
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen management or as a sous chef
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to plan menus and manage budgets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure kitchen provides nutritious, safe and eye-appealing food
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates
  • Plan menus and prepare budgets
  • Manage payroll and control food costs
  • Establish quality standards for food preparation and presentation
  • Train kitchen associates in cooking methods, presentation, portion control, and nutrient retention
  • Supervise all heart of house associates
