Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a kitchen leadership role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or relevant culinary role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • experience with budget and cost control management
  • passion for creating high-quality food and fostering a positive work environment

Job Duties

  • Ensure the kitchen provides nutritious, safe, eye-appealing, and properly flavored food
  • maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates
  • plan menus and prepare budgets
  • maintain payroll, food costs, and other records
  • establish quality standards for food preparation
  • train associates in cooking methods, presentations, techniques, portion control, and nutrient retention
  • supervise all Heart of House associates and carry out supervisory responsibilities
