Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a kitchen management role
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards
- Leadership capability to manage and motivate a kitchen team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
- Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- Familiarity with food cost control and budgeting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
- Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Job Duties
- Adhere to standards of professional appearance, personal cleanliness, and proper uniform
- Display confidence and a friendly disposition at all times
- Maintain, support and promote company culture and philosophies
- Understand and protect the financial assets of the company at all times
- Control cost and maximize revenue
- Communicate in a timely and professional manner with the five major groups the company does business with
- Understand and comply with all policies, procedures, and laws related to employment, food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service within the restaurant
- Establish quality standards for menu items and food production
- Assist in controlling all costs pertaining to the kitchen
- Maintain sanitation of restaurant to exceed Health Department standards
- Maintain proper security of all restaurant personnel and guest property
- Directly supervise all Heart of House associates including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems
