Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary management experience
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Proven culinary skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work under extreme temperature conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary management experience in a high-volume, full service Four Diamond kitchen
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Proven culinary skills
  • Ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
  • Creative and knowledgeable of new food trends
  • Experience in fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
  • Computer literate and detail oriented
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to create and understand financial reports
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • College education and/or culinary degree preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work under extreme temperatures

Job Duties

  • Advise Executive Chef on all kitchen matters and ensure cleanliness
  • Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the restaurant
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Appraise performance and resolve complaints
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and report malfunctions
  • Assist with purchasing supplies and managing inventory
  • Review staffing levels to meet service and financial objectives
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and resolve issues
  • Empower associates to provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate performance expectations
  • Foster open, collaborative relationships within the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
