Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 3 years experience in upscale banquet, hotel or convention center setting in a similar role with supervisory experience
- Must possess state issued Health Certificate and immunizations
- Serve Safe certification required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and long shifts
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive hand movements
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse team members and guests
- Ability to manage and motivate team, set priorities and solve problems
- Must be detail-oriented, multi-tasker and self-directed
- Knowledge of basic computer software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must maintain strict food safety and cleanliness standards
- Must be able to lift, push, and carry heavy objects
- Good sense of taste and smell
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Willingness to train, coach and mentor staff
- Ability to read, write and express ideas clearly
- Must maintain high level of concentration throughout shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 3 years in similar position in upscale banquet, hotel or convention center setting with prior supervisory experience
- State issued Health Certificate and immunizations
- Technical proficiency and demonstrable knowledge of food preparation methods
- Ability to interact positively with diverse personalities and work situations
- Effective communication and active listening skills
- Skilled in staff training, evaluation, motivation, coaching and counseling
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize in changing environments
- Self-directed with ability to work in team-oriented environment
- Flexible schedule accommodating nights, weekends, and long hours
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Clear speaking ability for effective communication

- Experience with US Foods Menu Profit Pro is a plus
Job Duties
- Supervises all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities
- Responsible for in-service delegation of tasks to line personnel
- Supervises all buffet, beverage, break, and carving table set-up and breakdown
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping and food inventory ordering
- Organizes employee work schedules ensuring appropriate kitchen coverage
- Measures, mixes and cooks ingredients according to recipes
- Maintains a clean kitchen and food production areas according to company standards
- Provides ongoing assistance, training and mentoring to kitchen staff promoting a positive workplace
- Ensures quality, consistency and adherence to recipe specifications and kitchen timings
- Monitors food safety standards and compliance
- Communicates with supervisors, peers and subordinates
- Makes decisions, solves problems, and prioritizes work
- Documents personnel discipline and works with Human Resources
- Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
