The sous chef position at FLIK Hospitality Group, located within a high-volume corporate dining account for Norwegian in Miami, FL, invites an energetic culinary professional to play a critical role in the operation of the culinary department. This role focuses on supporting the Executive Chef in managing daily food production with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and the artful presentation of menu items. The sous chef's responsibilities extend to assisting in menu planning and execution, including the creation of daily features and overseeing the preparation, cooking, and garnishment of varied dishes. Beyond food preparation, this role requires supervising and mentoring hourly team members to maintain high standards in food safety and sanitation and uphold inventory management and ordering procedures effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience including kitchen management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Florida Level 2 background screening may be required
