Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- College degree in culinary or food sciences preferred
- Minimum 2 years previous food and beverage supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a professional kitchen environment
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Food service sanitation certification
- CPR certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including supervisory aspects and guest interaction
Job Duties
- Direct the day to day operations of all kitchen areas including stewarding
- Assign specific duties to all employees under supervision for efficient kitchen operation
- Select, train and supervise kitchen staff in proper menu item preparation
- Schedule culinary staff to maintain coverage and control payroll costs
- Assist in planning and managing procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
- Prepare food according to specifications and work line stations as needed
- Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of kitchen and equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Assist in implementing menus and operational processes within corporate guidelines
- Ensure par stock levels are maintained through inventory calculation, ordering, and stocking
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
