Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in authentic Indian cuisine
  • Formal culinary training from a recognized Indian culinary institute
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong passion for Indian gastronomy and professional kitchen standards

  • At least two years of hands-on experience in authentic Indian cuisine
  • Strong understanding of regional Indian culinary traditions and techniques
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for Indian gastronomy and professional kitchen standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise line cooks and culinary utility staff, overseeing all Indian kitchen stations during dinner service to ensure consistent execution, flavor accuracy, and timely plating
  • Lead the tandoor and bread stations, preparing meats, seafood, and traditional breads like naan and roti to order using authentic techniques
  • Ensure curry bases such as makhani, korma, bhuna, and chettinad are properly finished, seasoned, and plated
  • Act as the main liaison with front-of-house, managing ticket flow, responding to service notes, and maintaining high standards in timing, temperature, and presentation
  • Monitor daily food needs, requisition supplies, and assist in special event execution featuring ceremonial or festive Indian dishes
  • Support training, staffing, and performance management of the culinary team, recommend equipment repairs, and resolve guest concerns within scope while maintaining a smooth and collaborative kitchen operation
