Job Requirements

  • minimum education of a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate
  • experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ability to work in a high-volume, complex foodservice environment
  • servsafe certification preferred
  • proficient computer skills including microsoft office and email
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to supervise hourly associates
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or a culinary certificate and required experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience a plus
  • culinary management experience in corporate dining, country clubs, and fine dining settings is desired
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers including microsoft office, outlook, email, and internet
  • servsafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assists the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assists the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produces and executes catering events
  • rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with flik marketing and culinary team
  • supervises hourly associates and supports kitchen operations
  • ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • participates in client satisfaction programs and activities
