Job Requirements
- minimum education of a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate
- experience in culinary or kitchen management
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ability to work in a high-volume, complex foodservice environment
- servsafe certification preferred
- proficient computer skills including microsoft office and email
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- ability to supervise hourly associates
- commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or a culinary certificate and required experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
- catering experience a plus
- culinary management experience in corporate dining, country clubs, and fine dining settings is desired
- high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- experienced with computers including microsoft office, outlook, email, and internet
- servsafe certified highly desirable
Job Duties
- assists the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assists the executive chef with planning and creating menus
- produces and executes catering events
- rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with flik marketing and culinary team
- supervises hourly associates and supports kitchen operations
- ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- participates in client satisfaction programs and activities
