The group portfolio encompasses an impressive range of reputable brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, along with several unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. SHG takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences across all its ventures, guided by a strong service culture and commitment to hospitality excellence.
SHG is currently seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Sous Chef to join its rapidly growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an inclusive, employee-focused environment where personal and professional development are prioritized. The organization values its people above all else and strives to create a workplace where employees feel engaged, empowered, and excited to grow their careers. The Sous Chef position is a critical role within the culinary team, responsible for supporting kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.
As a Sous Chef at SHG, you will be entrusted with overseeing kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, creative menu planning tailored to guest needs, managing food preparation, and ensuring the quality of all food deliveries. You will also take charge of ordering supplies and maintaining inventory while keeping costs in line with budgetary expectations. Labor management, scheduling, coaching, hiring, and disciplinary responsibilities are equally integral to this role, as is the need to engage positively and professionally with guests to resolve any issues that arise. The Sous Chef may also be required to act as the Manager on Duty when necessary and perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
SHG offers a rewarding, fun, and flexible work environment enriched with exciting perks and a robust benefits package. Employees enjoy access to daily pay, free telemedicine, and virtual mental health care starting from day one. Additionally, SHG provides multiple health insurance and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, an employee assistance program, and discounts on event tickets, electronics, gym memberships, and more. This comprehensive compensation and benefits program reflects SHG’s dedication to employee well-being and satisfaction.
Joining Schulte Hospitality Group means becoming part of a respected and well-established hospitality enterprise that values authenticity, respect, and a commitment to making a positive impact every day. As a member of SHG, you will be supported by a culture that nurtures career growth, encourages teamwork, and rewards excellence. If you are passionate about culinary arts, leadership, and customer service, this Sous Chef position offers a wonderful platform to advance your career in a vibrant and supportive setting.
