Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume setting
  • Proven leadership ability in kitchen management
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of progressive high-volume culinary or kitchen management experience preferred
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Flik's marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates in food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate on ordering and inventory management
